Lodging & Accommodation

Our guests are free to stay wherever they like at our destinations, however, we have pre-selected lodging partners that are most suitable for backpackers and independent travellers. They offer some very unique amenities (hot tub, sauna, breakfast, and beer) and have agreed to give you special "Toban Rates" that are a fraction of the regular costs for their lodging ($14-35 pp).

Flexibility

Our adventure takes you to six destinations, and you have the opportunity to jump-on and off at your own pace - so stay as long or short as you like at each destination. We run daily between May 26, 2006 and October 9, 2006 so your assured to be able to move on when your ready.

Potential Half Experience Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Saturday : Depart Toronto

- Depart Toronto on Westbound train at 9am

Day 2 - Sunday : Arrive Minaki

- Get off Via Rail Train in Minaki, Ontario at 12:37 pm (need to reserve this drop-off with ViaRail 48 hrs prior)
- Stay the night at Minaki Yurt Adventures

Day 3 - Monday (Road Trip 1) : Depart Minaki - Arrive Falcon Lake

- Spend the day doing what ever you like (relaxing, rockclimbing, mountainbiking, kayaking, etc.)
- Depart Minaki on the Toban Experience around 4pm en-route to Falcon Lake (Road Trip 1)
- Stay the night at Falcon Beach Ranch

Day 4 - Tuesday (Road Trip 2) : Depart Falcon Lake - Arrive Grand Beach

- Spend the day doing what ever you like (horseback ride, relax, hike, etc.)
- Depart Falcon lake on the Toban Experience at 5pm en route to Grand Beach (Road Trip 2)
- Stay the night at the Grand Sand Hotel

Day 5 - Wednesday (Road Trip 3) : Grand Beach - Arrive Winnipeg

- Spend the day on the beach
A) Depart Grand Beach on the Toban Experience at 2:30pm en-route to Winnipeg (Road Trip 3) to catch the 4:55 pm train (kinda wrecks your day on the beach and doesn't allow you to see Winnipeg)
B) Depart Grand Beach on the Toban Experience at 5pm en-route to Winnipeg and spend the night in Winnipeg at HI-Ivey House Hostel or where ever you like

Day 6 - Thursday : Winnipeg

- Spend the day and night in Winnipeg

Day 7 - Friday : Depart Winnipeg

- Catch the train at 4:55pm en-route west
